We had one in Finland some months ago. Thought there was a big truck parallel parking on the lot but when I checked outside there was nothing besides a rumble. Felt weird.

I felt my house shake, and I had no idea what it was.
I was sitting in the deli eating a sandwich when my table and chair started shaking. I looked around and no one was saying anything. Figured it was something moving around in the next building over. Two minutes later someone says it was an earthquake and we all looked at each other and laughed because we were all afraid to look like a fool if we were wrong. That was weird man. Must've been a big one if it was felt all the way down in NC.
