Not even a campaign lie but a downright lie. I overall don't really sway one way or the other regarding Obama's policies, but his hawkishness regarding war has been pretty damn disappointing to say the least.

I spent a month on convoy escort duty, five months providing comms for the Prime Minister's office, one month in Kuwait sitting on my ass waiting to go north, a month on the wash rack going home, and the four months in between doing dinky commo jobs mixed in with hadji guard duty, convoys, and motor pool work. Oh, and I had rockets and mortars and spent rounds raining down on my positions every day that I was in Iraq. You did what, one seven month tour? Boo the fuck hoo.
