yeeeeah, go to europe. visit peru.
Maybe there should just be a period in there? As in, "in addition I would like to visit Peru"?
Stream of conscious tbh. Periods be damned.

it's a consultancy gig for a computer/it services company that are working on a new product launch for a major us computer/telephone company (though i can't say which and don't even know who they are yet, pre-interview). i'll mainly be doing the words and services part, because i obviously have zero qualifications on the technical side of things. should be alright, it's a temp-contract for 3 months of pretty heavy work which should gimme some £££ for my late-2011 postgraduate start.

temp contracts are always fun if you ask me.  gives you more freedom to try new stuff.

yeah and way too many graduates over here think they're going to leave an average university with an average degree and be thrown perm-contract graduate level employment... then they sit around unemployed for 6 months getting depressed because they've "wasted their life". i just want to be doing somethinig now for my CV/resume that won't make it look as if i was sitting around on my ass waiting for someone to throw me a £30k+ job.

haha could care less what they think of me, long-term, my only 'career plan' thus far involves taking my postgraduate scholarship because that's possibly the strongest thing i'll have against any other graduate applicant as a 'one-up' sorta thing. things like that almost make your course and uni reputation seem secondary when you've got such an obvious bonus selling point.

Congrats! I just got a job offer today. And a couple more interviews. Just gotta decide what I end up doing, but so far this graduate life seems much better than people are making out.

I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something.  - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.

You would think that with the amount of time you had in country and doing what you did, they wouldn't care.  I know a Ranger that is taking every training available that the Army offers as he wants to get into this business when his time is up.

i can't really comment on 'graduate life' because i pretty much accepted postgrad was my next-step before i even begun looking for temp/summer work. best of luck in your more longer-term plans, though.
