I find that very hard to believe. Even the most remote areas of the Amazon has roads encroaching on it.

I say leave them alone. If they want to make contact with the world, let them. As it stands they seem to be more than happy to converse with other native tribes that maintain regular contact to the outside world and don't seem to want to be part of the rest of society. I think they should be afforded the privacy that they have chosen for themselves.
