I thought the second dropped a little in quality. But only because it didn't have Abernathy quoting Shakespeare.

In the movie, the disease that passes from host to host is described as "communicable" (as opposed to this version, which refers to it as "contagious"). As soon as Abernathy quotes the Old Bard to Evan Rachel Wood (can't think of her character's name off the top of my head), she immediately gets a flashback. Then when she says the quote to Mauve, Mauve flashes back to the Natives destroying her family. I thought it was a brilliant little piece of art.
I recommend the movie if you haven't already seen it

Westworld is about 10x better than I was expecting.
With that and Penny Dreadful TV is more watchable than film now.
It helps that Eva Green and Rachel Wood are gorgeous and interesting actresses.

ratings are pretty bad for the show relative to its cost. so far season one has averaged half of game of throne's first season.
Game of Thrones got off to a slow start also. Nobody would have predicted how crazy the fans are though.

The positive about Walking Dead is now my sister wants to learn to shoot and reload ammunition.

Shooting ammunition could be a challenge. A 9mm round is smaller than a penny, after all. Reloading's pretty dull work, and your thumbs can get sore and/or greasy from shoving rounds into magazines.
