I've managed to hold off on watching this, but now I really wanted to see what it's all about.

It's basically a documentary in one of the most impoverished areas of Scotland.

I'm at college, have a flat, have a job.

One kid in there got accepted in to college to do joinery, then passed on the opportunity and got sent to jail for assaulting someone.

well at least if you're middle-class you have something to be snobby about. working part-time at a supermarket and renting a flat from your girlfriend's parents hardly sounds like something clearly a slice above living on an estate. just seems pretty petty to me.

though there's a pretty convincing argument that parental help and inheritance is the no. 1 form of wealth perpetuation in capitalist economies

so one is a bit of a moral over-reliance and the other is pretty much the norm
