Cannot wait, one of the few games series that have exponentially gotten better by release due to them actually keeping to a winning formula and listening to fans.
This will be awesome.
This will be awesome.
I still have to play Blood Money. Went on a playspree no too long ago starting with the fist, but the third one turned me off quite badly.
I started with Blood Money, I was told it was the best of the four so I haven't tried the others purely because I want my memories of the game to be golden. If this sequel lives up to the hype it will surpass an already great game.
Blood Money is the shitest of the 4 by far. It doesn't even remotely stand up to the old ones.
2nd is still the best.
2nd is still the best.

No way. I'll agree that the older generation fans think that Silent Assassin is best (I agree, I played that game for countless number of hours. Fucking incredible). But as the years went by it got more successful after Contracts, so more people took notice of it, and by that point Silent Assassin was dead and buried.Vilham wrote:

Blood Money is just as good as Contracts. The first was most definitely the worst. Too many bugs and problems with the game. They ironed all of them out in Silent Assassin, which is why it was so damn good.
Hitman 2 was good but blood money was far better.
blood money was my favorite by a mile, 1 and 2 were also great
pretty sure contracts was one of the worst games ive ever played

Why is it so shit? I liked it as much as the others.Vilham wrote:

They seemed to be straining themselves just to include outlandish silliness in Blood Money. On another note, the Silverballers (and everything else, really) sounded the best in Silent Assassin.
Gonna be awesome.

Looks great. Just wish they graphics of the game would look like that.
It takes the first 47 seconds for Agent 47 to get inside the house, the ending credits starts 47 seconds later, Trailer itself is 1 minute and 47 seconds.
*top rated youtube comment.
That's pretty neat.
It all looks great but for one thing, they are including some bullshit 'instinct' power. Basically, 47 can now predict where the enemy will go through visual indicators on the screen. Seriously, what the fuck is happening with games these days, developers insist on making everything so easy for this new era of mentally retarded gamers.
Also, the other bit of the trailer that had me concerned, was just how action packed and gung-ho he appeared to be. Isn't it about avoiding everyone, rather than beating the shit out of them?
I love the Hitman games, i just hope they do the series justice with this one and don't try to make it appeal to every single corner of the market.

Higher difficulties do not allow the instinct feature.
I actually like that they upped his movement and hand to hand repertoire. The predecessors all allowed you to go full rambo in most missions without making it easier, this ones supposed to do the same only with more variety.
I never was one to fiddle out the 100% perfect plan for a mission or had the patience to replay one until I did, there were always slip ups. This new system is supposed to make improvising much more fluid and natural.

I'm the opposite, I can honestly say that the Hitman games were the only ones I bothered to get 100% in. From Hitman 2 through to Blood Money, I had 100% on every level and had every weapon. Yes, I am that sad.
That's exactly how I was in Hitman games, too. It was fun to get Silent Assassin ratings and figure out how to do it in different ways. The other challenges like killing nobody other than your targets were also entertaining. Usually I'd try to be stealthy for the first two plays of a level, then I'd have fancy weapons and whatnot to go on rampages (for example, packing the Minigun in the last level of Contracts). Even afterwards it's still fun to go around like a maniac and see how many people you can stealthily kill without being detected. I know in the hotel in Contracts, I must've killed about 80% of the people silently so the guards inside and outside the front entrance were about the only ones left alive.
I always loved to go both extra silent, or loud as fuck.
Same goes for Goldeneye 64, i always tried to go stealthy as much as possible....and corpse were not a problem back in the days!
