Except it's okay for him to kill, and to be envious even though both are deadly sins - because he is God?

But really, I think maybe religions should deal with important stuff like poverty, disease, war and so on instead of what some people like to do in their leisure time.Ty wrote:

Religion is man interceding to God on the behalf of man. 'religions' don't "deal with important stuff like" - it is an aspect of a religions spirituality if it has any charity or welfare function.
for a troll, let's review - you nailed the gay part down, don't know shit about religion, but are more than happy to tell religions how to behave . . .

Earlier you criticized God for not eliminating evil, now you're complaining that He's done so? The wages of sin is death so God is justified in eliminating evil. At the same time, in mercy, He provided salvation as a means to address our evil (sin). Envy requires one to lack something they wish they possessed. Since God already embodies perfection, it logically follows that He does not envy.AussieReaper wrote:

Is the pious loved by God because it is pious, or is it pious because it is loved by the God?

Simply an honorific that also makes it easy to understand when you're talking about a deity of monotheism. Unless you start to then get confused about something like Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit.
If you created the universe, you'd make the rules for it right? As to the pious, there are more options than the two presented.AussieReaper wrote:
