Sorry if it is so hurtful that you are more left-wing than you think, anyway did you take just the political compass test? You could try the other 2 tests, they have different questions and more than just Yes or No for answers. I got called a libertarian in one of them.

The dude filming is a douchebag, read the description he put up on youtube as well....
Basically he has lots of videos that feature him walking around in cities or next to freeways etc carrying an AR-15 (or MP5) and a handgun to provoke police encounters. He then records the encounter, acts surprised that they stop him and whines about his rights and recites them if they even so much as touch his weapons.
Dude sees himself as a 'patriot' and as soon as you question whatever the fuck he's doing he'll curl up in the fetal position and play the victim role. 'just an innocent citizen excersising his rights' (i.e. carrying rather large lethal weapons around for no reason).
I already hate him and the idea of random people carrying around AR15s in public seems bizarre and scary to me.

I dislike the fact that police officers aren't allowed to check his ID, whether or not the weapon is fully auto and whether or not it is loaded. That's not right. I also dislike that he's abusing his 'right to bear arms', as I'm pretty sure the intent was not so that you can scare people on the streets by waving around something that's meant to kill, rather it had something to do with government and preservation of liberty and all that (even though I don't believe that it actually works in the 21st century but oh well).
That concludes my rant/view on domestic US laws which don't impact me in the slightest and with which I certainly have no experience.

I think you hit it on the head with your first post - the guy is a douche and is drawing attention to himself and pretending to be surprised when he gets stopped. I would absolutely call the police if I saw a guy walking around with an AR-15 or MP5 strapped to his back. Sure he is acting within the boundary of law, but he's also acting irresponsibly. And he's lucky he doesn't get shot by some wannabe hero who mistakes him for a terrorist.
