No. It would rape our economy.

There are consequences to tax increases. In this case, the cost would be sheer productivity and the cratering of our economy.

Morons. Higher taxes are never the correct answer. That's why you live in a third world country supported by pothead tourists.

thats cool btw, insulting the country i live in before reading on.
Real nice.
It's what I do

Nah, but in all seriousness, your country has the densest population in the world. Public transportation is a viable option. My country is one of the least dense so no dice.

Because I couldn't think of a single thing that the Dutch export. I have no idea how you people make money besides tourism and hosting the court at The Hague

The Netherlands has a very strong economy and has been playing a special role in the European economy for many centuries. Since the 16th century, shipping, fishing, trade, and banking have been leading sectors of the Dutch economy. The Netherlands is one of the world's 10 leading exporting countries. Foodstuffs form the largest industrial sector. Other major industries include chemicals, metallurgy, machinery, electrical, goods and tourism. Examples include Unilever, Heineken, financial services (ING), chemicals (DSM), petroleum refining (Shell), electronical machinery (Philips, ASML) and car navigation TomTom.
I stand corrected.

You also had the spice trade.

My car gets 10km/L and I cried a bit inside yesterday when it cost me $55 to fill the tank

I still remember gas when it cost under $1 per gallon. This was before the first Gulf War and it never went down again after the initial spike
