my friend has ritalin on offer but it's the exact opposite of what i want, really... yeah it gives great concentration/memory, but man that shit hits you just like speed. of all the drugs i'd abuse and hate myself for, speed/amphets were the ones that brought the most sorrow and regret. every time it's like you crash and spend a day or two in bed feeling like you're frail and as if your body is about to give up the ghost. im sure ritalin is great for performance but i can't deal with that sort of exhaustion anymore. way too stressful on mind and body.

i'm not really on the "need" level for it yet. not this semester. if i go to UVA or AU, i'm sure that's when it'll probably seem like more of a necessity

Well, I'm not 19, so I can't legally go in bars. However I have a casual acquaintance that lets me borrow his ID occaisionally so I do get to go out sometimes. It's not great, there's really only one street that all the bars are located on, has about 10 bars/clubs total down the street. Pretty decent, but I'm going to go to some Toronto clubs next year when I'm legal, with my friend who goes to UofT, which I expect to be much better tbh.

I never really got the low after trying MDMA. I can imagine it being a dull/dreary feeling, one of meekness and apathy that comes with a lack of dopamine.
Physically I was destroyed, though. My legs hurt for a good 2 days after I had danced so much.

honestly the worst comedowns are from speed/amphets... or from super serious binges where you're mixing shit like coke with lots of alcohol
with MDMA the comedown doesn't kick in for like 3-5 days... hence 'suicide tuesday'
comedowns get worse and worse the more you abuse (frequency and amount)... i've had some terrifying ones
i remember one point when my shit was really fucked last year, just going into the bath-room at like 11am in the morning after not sleeping the night before, everynoe else had crashed/gone to sleep, and just looking at myself... and crying. like uncontrollable amounts. couldn't even explain why. brain was just dead, major emotional comedown. had like the darkest week ever after that, the most horrorshow depression imaginable. so yeah, they're very real. mdma can really bite you in the ass if you don't take care of yourself.
wouldn't do any of that shit ever again now, tbh. got to know when enough fun is enough
