Umm this is in reference to recent events in Libya. Unless Europeans are now meant to be capable of future-telling then this would seem to be a new development and therefore not something people would have been denying earlier...

From what I have read this has absolutely nothing to do with them being Muslim but everything to do with it being a massive influx of illegal immigrants. That sort of influx will have a large affect on the economy, I didn't see any European foreign ministers expressing concern over the influx of one particular culture or religion but rather concern over the influx of illegal immigrants.
