Idk i've always liked nickelback since i was a wee lad in grade school. I guess it's like beiber. God I fucking hate beiber, his fucking music sucks ass, but you know what he's out there "unfortunately" doing this thing and that's just how it is.

I've never understood how Nickleback suck so much, but I guess I don't listen to that much of that style/genre of music but even then, it can't be that complicated as to why they suck so bad. They're not even that popular, which is the main reason butthurt internet people hate on music.

I just don't like that guys voice, sounds like he's trying to sing through his nose with a really bad cold and someone's strangling him... Seems like he's trying to hold his breath to me?
Add to that the music just seems really repetitive. Not in a catchy good way but in a oh, didn't I hear this section of the song 5 seconds ago and then 5 seconds before that, and so on.
Saying that though, I like theory of a deadman who sound pretty similar (I remember hearing that one of nickelback had something to do with them?) but they seem better for some reason.
