Ah, ok. I was under the impression that he'd had enough and wanted to enter the building so they could actually vote on it, and the cops stopped him from doing so.Karbin wrote:
Not quite. Court order was served that the protesters could not spend the night in the building. The cops were stopping the senator from entering the building, thought he was a protester, slammed him to the ground and were cuffing him when he I.D.ed himself.supposedly some cops prevented a democratic state senator from entering the building? yeah that looks real good, union folk.
Real good union folk doing their job.
And yes he was allowed in to his office to get what he had gone there for and escorted out.
Returned after hours to retrieve some documents from his office..... then, probably, beat feet for the state line.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

But you assumed that, the cops being in a union, prevented the senator from voting.
Instead, the cops were carrying out a court order and doing their job.
Could I suggest that you take the higher road first before jumping into the gutter?

I probably should, yes.
hahahaha owned. bill passed. go back to work you stupid fucking teachers.
we need a raygun moment here. fire them all.
Going to get interesting.... school board elections, county controllers... oh, ya.... and Judges (sits back with some popcorn)
if they are not back to work tomorrow morning...fired. period.
Fire the Governor..... big court challenge on the manner of passage. Rules say 24 hours notice for a vote on a changed bill, 2 hours notice given. Public hearings 10 min long, and not open to the public.11 Bravo wrote:

All the finance taken out of the bill and the only part voted on was the part on CBA's. Police and Fire not on the list of banned unions.
Hmmmmmmmm
Me smells more then bad cheese in Wisconsin.
fire the gov? why? dems ran away like cunts.
Read the whole post again.....gave it all there11 Bravo wrote:

Sounds like they need to fire the people who run the legislature, not the Governor. Separation of powers and all.Karbin wrote:

I think everything is fine. Only people that should lose their jobs is the dems that ran away. This is only the beginning for Wisconsin, more good things are to come.
Not fired, layed off. There is a difference. It is unfortunately hard to fire union workers in Wisconsin.11 Bravo wrote:

The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.

poster fucking rants on teachers and yet can't even spell or write properly. I, in extreme sarcasm, made fun of you to prove a point. Most people here, especially the mods, 'got' it. You, a confirmed serial necro-poster with troll-like tendencies have yet again solidified public opinion regarding your edumacation and overall character with your 'wah wah wah he made fun of me' post.
unions have their place as a check against unscrupulous owners/managers
but like everything in life there will be people who try twist/use/control things for their benefit.
catering to lowest common denominator is stupid. I guess the union leaders need some more edumacation too. They need to understand that such inefficiencies cause their companies to suffer thus placing all the jobs they are supposedly protecting in jeopardy.

i said loose instead of lose and that gives you the right to be a douche? oh sorry grammar nazi. you are so cool. how about you fuck off.
troll? i gave my opinion of the matter. what did you do? troll. yet you call someone else a troll. fucking hell. go die please.
and unions are a bunch of cunts.

i still haven't seen a super solid argument for unions. my dad isn't in a union and he doesn't get treated poorly by his employer, the hours can be hell but he certainly gets well compensated for it.
been union once and have never noticied any diff.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

I had an American history professor in college once that stated and I quote "Before unions there was only rich people and poor people. The middle class did not exist before unions."Hurricane2k9 wrote:

I had the most glorious laughing/coughing fit ever that day.

Well, in public sector unions, the "evil boss" would be the taxpayers and their elected representatives...gee, don't we just hate ourselves!?
I'm laughing a bit. I don't have a dog in this fight, but the popcorn value is pretty high. The Dems don't get enough seats to outvote the Repubs, so they do the immature "Screw you guys, I'm going to IL!" The Repubs return the metaphorical "Bird" and pass legislation anyway.

the dems are the ones who look downright stupid here.

You know.... Dems are lazy bums... Repubs are hard working and over taxed.... take rights from this group....do not touch rights for that group.
Unions are evil.... unions are the down fall of the west.
Unions are good and helped build the middle class.
You know how it go's.
But on a personal note, I do find it ........ strange.... that anyone here would think it a GOOD idea to strip rights from any group based on their profession or group affiliation.
