I'd type my pc specs out all fancy again but teh mods would remove it. Again.
Wow, I feel sympathy for WBC. Who knew that could happen?
Edit - The irony of "Anonymous" sending out a letter like that calling people fascist is utterly bemusing.

They brought it upon themselves.
If the women don't find ya handsome. They should at least find ya handy.
And "Anonymous" in turn will bring their jail sentences upon themselves.UnkleRukus wrote:

Exactly, what WBC does is just immoral and wrong which puts them in league with anon since what they do is immoral and wrong.JohnG@lt wrote:

lol...It is funny to see where anonymous draws the line...lol.
...
The thing about the Scientology protests was that Scientology needed to have that kind of negative attention drawn to it. Scientology has thousands of members and has committed a litany of crimes and abuses.
WBC on the other hand has never done anything actually illegal, and as previously stated thrives on negative attention. These losers will really accomplish nothing other than risk legal action. While Scientology uses legal action to suppress critics, WBC uses it to make money. They are smart enough to be as offensive as possible while not doing anything against the law, so that they can enrage people to the point where they can be sued (with the help of the ACLU ) to support their group, which has a very, very small congregation that all come from the Phelps clan. So really, the chantards are doing WBC a favor.

1.source. how do we even know its "anonymous?"
2.hyperbole
3.doctor, how many lawsuits has wbc won? would you also happen to know the amount of money jurors/judges have awarded them?

I don't know exactly how many they've won, but they have gone to court dozens of times with the help of the ACLU. And even then, there's only like 100 or so members, they are not worth confronting, counter protesting, giving any thought about and most certainly they are not worth getting angry at.13/f/taiwan wrote:

... I'm sure anon doesn't mind the attention as well.. as odd as that sounds. . You don't have to be identified to be proud of your work.jord wrote:

What pretentious crap. Regardless, would be nice to see the damage Anon can do wrought against the WBC.

i think it's funny and cute anon thinks they are doing god's work (lol) through teenage online harassment. Maybe they should go have another rally with some masks on and blast rick astley. Who will they target next? The electric company for turning the street lights on too early?
Sadly, this will do nothing more than gain more attention for the WBC, which (I assume) is not their objective and it is what the WBC craves for.
Spoiler (highlight to read):
Personally, I hate them. Free Speech is good, but free speech at the expense of dead soldiers is not good at all. I don't think that principle was ever designed to be used in that way.
Let Anon do as much damage as it pleases, even though it will amount to nothing.

That's what I was thinking. The whole time I read this I thought, who's this guy writing this speaking for "Anonymous" but. Well, the group doesn't work like that anyway. Seeing as Anonymous is nobody and everyone at the same time. So it doesn't matter if someone goes "who is this retard to speak for me" - Basically it's all about whoever feels like joining in and causing havoc. Whoever doesn't can fuck off, they can be Anonymous for some other scheme.13/f/taiwan wrote:

Yea, pretty much. If the group supports the message then they show it with action. They have done this with other open letters in the past. Operation payback was setup and put in motion by a single twitter account.Mekstizzle wrote:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010/de … hy-emergesThey were described as a leaderless, anarchic group of "hacktivists" who briefly brought down MasterCard, Visa and PayPal after those companies cut off financial services to WikiLeaks.
But inside Anonymous, the Guardian has found that the organisation is more hierarchical – with a hidden cabal of around a dozen highly skilled hackers co-ordinating attacks across the web.
The secretive group that directs the Anonymous network was also behind the assault on the Gawker websites in the US at the weekend, according to documents seen by the Guardian. That led to email addresses and passwords of more than 1.3 million Gawker users being made public, and spawned a spam attack on Twitter that is now being investigated by the FBI.
In the last 10 days, Anonymous has also orchestrated Operation Payback, which attacked Visa, MasterCard and PayPal for cutting off financial services to WikiLeaks under pressure from the US government. Given the youthful demographic of the group, insiders expect the attacks to be stepped up in the next week as schools, colleges and universities break up for Christmas.
Several members of Anonymous have contacted the Guardian, wanting to provide more information about their motives and how the group works. Although some have been prepared to reveal their identities in private, none is willing to be named in public for fear of a backlash within the hacker group.
One member said the group's "command and control" centres are invite-only, adding: "It's to protect people, but if you have proven trustworthy you get invited – it's not hard to do. It's not some elitist structure but a way to keep the press and the odd bit of law enforcement seeing who issues commands."
Those that are part of Anonymous and outside experts such as Gabriella Coleman, a New York University professor who has studied Anonymous, estimate that thousands are members of the broader network, who make their computers available to co-ordinated cyber attacks. But the majority of members – put at 99% by one insider – have virtually no influence over the direction of the group or its strategy.
"Our project has no leader structure, only different roles. The degree of leadership and organisation in the various projects various a lot," one long-term insider explained. "It's all very chaotic, but we communicate and co-operate with each other. I see us as different cells of the same organism."
The leaders of the group use internet relay chat (IRC) technology, which can allow groups of people to communicate clandestinely. Some in the upper echelons are understood to have control over "botnets" comprising more than 1,000 Windows PCs that have been infected with a virus and can be controlled without the user's knowledge to direct "distributed denial of service" (DDOS) attacks against target organisations..

it's not well written - it's terrible. so much tautology. it comes across as if anonymous are literally trying to imitate the verbiose vichysoisse of 'v for vendetta'... badly.jord wrote:

it really is the damndest thing. People who will go to great lengths to harass a 14 year old girl get all self-righteous about other things. Granted, it may not be the exact same people, but sites like 4chan draw a pretty specific crowd.Poseidon wrote:

the one thing that did catch my eye about the letter though was "the Voice of Free Speech," yet the intention of the letter is to stop the wbc because they expressed their free speech.
