Err I don't mean it like that..

I'm just really annoyed by the constant playing of the victim card by someone who is in an excellent place for people he likes to identify with.

Some of you mock this idea. You live in a bubble where anti-Semitism at the University doesn’t exist, and despite all evidence pointing toward the affirmative, you close your eyes and you shut your mouths. Calling for the destruction of a Jewish state in Israel is anti-Semitism. A University official calling a student a “Zionist pig” and then encouraging other students to post hateful messages about him in order to have their “voice” heard is anti-Semitism. A University official starting a petition to censor a columnist because of his support for Israel is anti-Semitism. Threatening to harm another student because of their support for Israel is anti-Semitism. The Medium stealing the identity of a Jewish student to write a pro-Hitler column that possessed zero comedic value with the sole purpose to spew hatred is anti-Semitism. In fact, The Medium supported this claim last week when their paper made a “serious” statement on the cover that “Virtually every article that appears … is designed to entertain.” Notice their usage of the word “virtually” — not every article but “virtually” all are intended to entertain. Clearly one of those exceptions was their anti-Semitic diatribe that praised Hitler.
How accurate are these allegations?

The only one as far as I know is the one dealing with the medium. It's a joke paper. Since the author is known for doing only batshit israel/jewish articles they decided to run a fake editorial by him where he praises Hitler. As for the others I don't know. He has been writing for the paper for three years so any of those other things could have happened it that time span.

The international community has found various ways to pressure/marginalise Iran, North Korea, Myanmar, Zimbabwe, etc., some methods effective, some not so much. Globally, few people disagree that the state of Israel don't exactly adhere to the straight and narrow of international law. How can the world effectively apply pressure on Israel (in the same manner as pressure is applied to similarly unruly members of the international community like Iran) to get them to stop eating away at Palestine? Time is running out for Palestine. If hawkish right-wingers continue to occupy the political foreground in Israel for much longer the consequences could be dire - hopeless situations produce extreme responses, rightly or wrongly. Why does Israel seem to be exempt from the standards that others are held to? If the answer is realpolitik then that is extremely depressing. It would be nice if we could return to morals and principles.

That's because the solution is simple. Make it a single country, Have the international community put pressure on Israel to give Palestinians equal rights like that which was done to end Apartheid, and whoever breeds more wins.

I'm honestly beginning to come to that conclusion myself. That is an absolutely off-limits concept to the right wing of Israel however (and Hamas obviously).

That would need to be done before giving the Israelis the rest of Palestine.

Palestinians now living on land consumed by Israel are already suffering death by a thousand cuts, marginalised at every level, having their properties taken from them by the Israeli state, unable to lead lives remotely approaching those of jewish citizens and so on.

To force the remaining Palestinians to be consumed by Israel would be bizarre, like suggesting the best thing for Russia would have been to have been absorbed by the Axis and hope they would be treated nice in the interests of peace

Nope.

The anti-semiticism card is overplayed, give it a rest now.

That's exactly what's going on.

Once the western nations cease being the dominant powers in the world Israel is fucked though. They've politically and now physically (wall) isolated themselves from all of their neighbours. Merging Israel and Palestine will accomplish nothing.

taking out hamas would be the obvious first step. actually, it's waaaay overdue. the fact that nothing's done about those dickheads for so long, while saddam, taliban, mubarak and the likes are fucked up speaks volumes, imo - those in this world who could actually solve israel/palestine problem are not interested in doing so.

To achieve peace the Israeli equivalent of Hamas - the settler movement and the people who back them - would have to be eliminated too.

Mmm because kill the chief bad guys has worked so well in the past.

Nobody wants to get involved in Palestine because the Palestinians know all of the PR tricks for fighting in built up areas. Theyve been doing it against the Israelis for ever and whatever international force went in would be shafted. Likewise nobody is going to invade Israel because they have also been fighting forever and would have a massive home advantage, let alone nukes (possibly).

It's unfair to Israel that victims get good PR.

Not to say that innocent Israelis, etc. haven't been killed by Palestinian attacks.

Using ambulances as ammo dumps, massively photoshopped "destruction" images, videos of palestinians in a gun fight (with nobody else), Mock funerals, making a fuss over dead children to walk past the camera, then throwing the body on the floor.

Loads of things that would look really bad for an international invader / peace keeper / whatever.

Judging by this thread it is working pretty well..

So you're saying its all made up, Israel doesn't exist and they aren't ever expanding their settlements?

No. Im saying they are using events to their maximum pr advantage. Not that the events are not happening. Can find you a bucket load of evidence if you need. This is exactly the attitude that would destroy a western invasion / occupation.

Making a fuss over dead children then while the camera isn't looking throwing the body on the floor?

As if. You're downplaying the children and overplaying the relatives emotional distress. As if those children didn't have families and relatives who would mourn them.
