I'm sure you've had those people in your classes that waste everyone's time by asking off beat questions. they piss me off so much. In my Real Estate law class there was a lady that wanted to debate every fucking law. The professor finally told her to put her hand down.. he said I am here to teach you what you need to know. .. not to debate it's merits. The class literally applauded. ..lol. I would have felt bad for her if it weren't for the fact she didn't care about anyone else. She fancied herself a legislator.

in my 1st year (freshman in your lingo) honours maths course last year we had people at the start debating every. single. fucking. thing. almost the same people every time. ffs it's MATHS. you cannot be half-right or half-wrong about these things. and given that they have phds and are studying ludicrously difficult maths and have been lecturing this subject for years, just shut the fuck up and listen to the fucking proof. god that was annoying.

But that's the annoying thing. I'd done a lot of the coursework already and I could tell instantly that they didn't have the slightest fucking clue what they were talking about.

Also pretty bad was last year in 2nd year algebra. This one guy would need clarification on the most ludicrously obvious of things. Old bloke too. It's always the mature age students...
