If they can't even accept a Gorilla walking, I doubt an alien life is going to change their belief that drastically, if at all.
If you believed the Church, the Earth was the centre of the universe and Sun revolved around the Earth. When that was proven incorrect, did the religious stop believing? Nope, just altered what they got out of the texts..
I don't recall the Bible ( I assume your not Ripping the koran ) Ever making mention of the solar system. I have not encountered a Religious person, ( Christian, muslim or otherwise ) who still hold the Pre Nicolaus Copernicus theories to hold true.

Bible, Yes I see you weren't trashing the koran.
I remember some researcher noted a chimp who walked up-rite in dashes because of a damaged arm he had. It was in Nat Geo. Unless walking up-rite helped him further his blood line, I doubt it would promote evolution. ( By evolution I am to assume you mean because he is standing on his hind legs he is
evolving ) Walking on all fours is not necessarily an impediment to animals Nor is standing up-rite an improvement in the Darwinian sense. Just because he looks more human Doesn't make a dog who sits up smarter or more likely to procreate and promote his blood line. I realize you had another message to push.
You're a nutcase. Plain and simple. Crying because I'm hitting the Bible and not the Koran? lol
As for the bible never mentioning the solar system? In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth. Skip a few lines. Then what happens?
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
Pardon my ignorance, but I had assumed by stars also, that the Bible was referring to God creating the stars also.
And I'm sure you could easily find someone who still believes the Sun revolves around the Earth, or even someone from the flat Earth society. Those loons are out there, too.
And as for your argument that "Nor is standing up-rite an improvement in the Darwinian sense. " Yes it is. It is an improvement for the fact that without walking on all fours, the great Apes have more time to use tools/carry objects in their now free hands. Walking upright was a huge advantage in our development as a species also. Walking upright is an evolutionary leap forward for mammals with two legs and two hands.
Glad you mentioned dogs, I'd have thought the fact we've been breeding dogs for millennia and domesticating them was proof enough in evolution. It's not wolves in our homes.
