The Government handled this money so well, I'm glad they took my money. Lets give them a crack at something bigger. Personally I wished obama would have tried his hand straitening this one out before he tried to Nationalize Heath Care. It would have gave people confidence in him.
he didn't really nationalize healthcare though, sadly
Clearly you have zero clue how social security works. Everyone pays into it and thus everyone earns the right to collect it when they retire. One day, when you've actually gotten a job instead of jerking off five nights a week into your socks dreaming of your butt buddy Jesus you'll receive a Social Security earnings statement every few years that tells you just how much money you should expect back when you retire.-Sh1fty- wrote:

Why is it messed up? So, they invested their money on rental property, while still paying into Social Security from their usual job. If they gambled and partied all their money away, not investing in property, they are then entitled to their Social Security benefits?-Sh1fty- wrote:
I know old people in the US who are living off of their property (They bought homes and rented them out until paid for, then collect the money) but also get social security from the government.
I don't need to live in the United States, or have a very high education to know that's messed up.

Try to make a point next time burnzz.
My views are just to cut taxes in general, I don't pay taxes yet and I'm not looking forward to.

I don't know much about social security, but every version of entitlement to me is bullshit, assuming SS is entitlement, but then again I have no fucking clue and should look it up before putting my nose in here

Didn't you just shit on people who have been working their whole lives and paying into a benefit, for collecting that benefit? Seems you made the asshole comments. I'd expect to get something I paid for, wouldn't you?-Sh1fty- wrote:

Anyway, unless we're talking about SS from a company you've worked with, which I'm assuming we're not. I'm talking about being paid by the government after you reach xx age.
So, why should you pay the government to save up money for you when you need it then just save it yourself?

there are no pensions in taiwan unless you work for the gov, so most people live with their parents to take care of them lel. its not unexpected to have a 30 year old with a wife/husband and still lives with their parents.
Social security is simply a compulsory scheme requiring people to put some of their hard-earned money into savings run by the govt.-Sh1fty- wrote:

Are you saying that since you don't want to pay tax these people shouldn't get their money back?

It's not a fucking entitlement you moron. People pay in money during their working years, they get money back when they retire. It's forced retirement savings. This wouldn't be an issue but for two things: 1) the government has repeatedly stolen from the social security fund over the decades in order to spend more and 2) people live a lot longer now than when it was designed causing more strain on the system. People retiring wouldn't even be a problem if the thieves in Congress hadn't drained it in an attempt to kill it.-Sh1fty- wrote:

So if Congress stops draining the cash the system will work fine?
