Well, let's see. The biggest Free Agent in Baseball this offseason, Cliff Lee, signed with the Phillies instead of the Yankees for $50 million less. Ilya Kovalchuk turned down an incredible offer from the KHL to stay in the NHL for less money. LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and everyone else who signed a new contract with the Heat this summer all signed for LESS money for a chance to play with each other and a better chance at winning.lowing wrote:
well lets see, you gave 2 obscure players that no one has heard of, from a sport no one gives a fuck about.Poseidon wrote:
Find me proof that it is. As an Islander fan and having been following an abysmal team for years, I didn't see Dan Hamhuis or Paul Martin (2 outstanding defenseman) coming to the team when they were offered more money than the Penguins did. But they knew they'd have a chance at a Stanley Cup with the Penguins, so they joined them.lowing wrote:
Oh I am sure, it is never about money with professional athletes huh? Wow
You're wrong here lowing, don't even try.
I give you and entire baseball league and football league

I won't even ask that if money is not an issue for professional athletes.....Why the fuck do they need agents?
So for you to tell me that athletes don't chase big money is nothing short of naive.
You post a STRIKE to show that professional athletes chase money? I don't think I can even laugh at how pathetic that is. You really just don't know what you're talking about. A strike occurs for a variety of issues. The LEAST of which even has anything to do with what I posted, anyways.
I dunno lowing, if you get sent to court and you're so sure you're innocent, why do you need a lawyer?lowing wrote:

They are employees in a business. Of course they want to get paid. But there are so many other factors that contribute to a decision in choosing a new team, none of which I'd expect you to think about it, because as I'm sure people will agree with me, the only one naive is you in your little secluded mountainous home.
