In shiftys solution he shoots this guy, running a risk of killing him. Then again I forget how shiftys some ninja video game hero who can aim and shoot someone in a nonlethal area of their body in a split second at close range.

At least lowing was honest about his having no qualms in potentially killing people.

Oh and for the record i'm not a liberal, my political outlook is a combination of humanist values mixed with conservative ones.

Rep. Peter King said Tuesday he plans to introduce a new gun safety bill in Congress in the wake of the mass shooting in Arizona that killed six people and wounded 14 others, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz.

King said his bill would make it illegal to knowingly carry a gun within a thousand feet of "certain high-profile" government officials.

"It is imperative that we do all that we can to give law enforcement the tools they need to ensure the safety of New Yorkers and prevent an attack before it happens," King said during an appearance at a Manhattan event with Mayor Michael Bloomberg and other officials from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania who discussed ways to prevent another shooting tragedy.

If he succeeds in drawing his gun, my guess is the would be thief would have the sudden desire to survive and no shooting would be required.

I don't understand your question of what is in my wallet worth more than the guys life.  You can take my wallet out of the situation and I would kill the guy because he is threatening my life and my life is worth more than his.

Imagine if there were laws in place limiting mentally unstable people from purchasing/owning guns and/or ammo (like the kind of law some people were proposing after the V.Tech shooting- before the NRA got their cold, dead hands on it). 

Then there would be no need for a gun wielding hero to come through to protect the useless liberals!

Weird law, who's high profile and who's not?

I would much rather see a law put in place that, if you are going to carry a gun, on top of whatever training you would need to do that you also need some kind of training to deal with gunshot wounds and other injuries. If your gonna be a hero, be a hero all the way.
If you carry a gun to be "Prepared" whats wrong with being more prepared.

This is a failure of local law enforcement more than a failure of gun laws.  He would have been put away long ago had people listened to those around him who knew he was nuts.

I didnt catch this earlier, was his gun registered or not? and did he actually have it modified or not? If it was registered, then yep, failure of laws. If not... Also, if you have a registered fire arm, does it need to be inspected periodically in AZ? or anywhere in the states?
