I think it's a bit of an overreaction, everyone knows they have nukes, yet they continue to deny it.

But I think that it's a justified act, it *could* have been a spy balloon... But for what purpose?

exactly... they didn't have to shoot it down really, they could've taken it down with less violent (well yeah) but slower methods, such as adding additional wight from a helicopter.

actually no, I sorta think that this is important because it opens an interesting question: Why does Israel try to maintain secrecy over the locations of it's nuclear plants when almost everyone knows that they exist and where they are?

I don't think it's an overreaction.

Scenario: The USAF shoot down an unidentified object flying over one of it's military locations, is it justified? Of course, I'd expect our Air Force to shoot down something they suspect may be spying on us flying around a military location.

- Settle the overreaction / justification thing, aka pick a side?
- Are the Israelis allowed to publish "no-fly" zones over their own territory?
- Are the Israelis allowed to enforce no-fly zones?
- Is it smart to allow anyone around a nuclear facility or to fly over it?
- How is shooting a balloon news?
- How is this not a troll thread? Wouldn't you rather talk about the nukes and not a balloon?
