It's as cold as the washer goes unfortunately. We'll see.

I think 30 is fine. Too cold and the enzymes don't work so well
Also, biological > non-bio for blood

Probably the best result your going to get using normal methods, blood is a bitch of a stainer.

I remember reading/hearing/seeing somewhere that shampoo gets blood out of stuff really well as its a protein remover. Just rub that in then rinse it out and stick it in the washing machine?
I'd type my pc specs out all fancy again but teh mods would remove it. Again.

Long story short, there's blood all over my sheets. I promise I didn't kill anyone. How can I get it out? Will sticking it in the washing machine work or not? Google suggests rubbing it with cold water for ages, but that seems like far too much effort for the amount involved. Anyone done this before?
Aren't you the guy who gets a new computer once a year  ? WTF buy new sheets  !

~ old ones in trash can a couple blocks away...just in case !
Huh? I've had this computer since 2007, I think you're confusing me with someone else. Either way, whilst I'm aware new sheets would not be very expensive, I need something to sleep on tonight, and I'm not going to throw something perfectly good away without trying to sort it out first.
coulda sworn you were on a topic about 2 years back about " overclocking " and how it didnt matter if it trashed a computer becuase .. . . etc..  That wasn't you ?

Ran it through the washer twice, looking pretty good now. There's a few faint brown marks but nothing serious. I'll wash the sheets again with a bit of bleach at some point in the near future. Thanks for your assistance BF2s!

try the shampoo thing. I wanna know if it works without resorting to opening a vein.

You are aware all blood dries brown right? Why would I hide it from you guys if it was period blood? It'd be a far better story.

I believe the 'cold water' tip refers to fresh blood only. Something to do with coagulation IIRC.
Coagulated, dried blood is basically a lump of protein, so you can wash as hard as the fabric can withstand.

The main effective ingredients of washing detergents are still saponified fatty acid derivates. Enzymes are just for sensitive materials that need a low temperature.

White, cotton sheets -> 95°C and washing powder

You could apply one of those bleach/enzyme combination sprays directly onto the stain if necessary.

It's really the same amount of blood, arteries are just at higher pressure. If it's in the interest of science though, perform both an arteriotomy and phlebotomy.

Has there been a real solution to this? I've got dried on blood on a white t-shirt and can't seem to get it out!

If it hasn't been washed yet...use some hydrogen peroxide on it first. This will "soften" the blood. Rinse with warm water, then wash with cold water.

btw, I have this knowledge because my parents both work as EMTs and have had to deal with trying to remove dried blood from their uniforms.

I prefer adult women. To much drama with virgins. Now Virginians on the other hand are as much fun as Texans.

Just buy NEW SHEETS               dam.. . .   .
