I've tried to find the solution to my problem on the Winamp forums, but it doesn't seem to have been encountered by anyone.

Basically, I love the program, except for two things. Small details which really piss me off.

1. If I look up a song in the seach box and then play it, it'll either play just the song or loop the songs which appear in the results list. Is there any way to have it going back and playing from the main library?

2. When I delete a song, the library view goes back to the very top (sorted alphabetically, so to A)--regardless of where I was. I hate that; I have a large library, and so it takes me a while to find where I was. How do I prevent this?

ffs bro, use the winamp playlist like a normal person.

the library sucks.

if you delete a song from the playlist it doesn't do the shit you see in prob #2.

and prob #1 isn't encountered either. you want to search for a song? browse the fucking directories it should be in and play it.

You suck at librarying. Do it right and you get something like this

Nah man, I love the library. So much more flexible.

And the issue isn't that I can't find the song, but that only that song will play, it won't go back to playing the playlist/library afterwards.

Had itunes before, back when I had my ipod. Hated the life out of it. Sucks so much CPU/RAM, and there are no settings for the actually playback. But hey, the Genius thing is pretty cool. Winamp's got something like it, but it always crashes.

I used to have it too, just for iPod as well. One day I was manually disabling services in Windows and had to disable 5 iTunes related services + several apps that were also working in the background.

RAM is so cheap nowadays I don't see the problem in needing 20GB.
