The Matinecock indians owned this piece of land. Now all that's left is a town named after them with one of the highest standards of living in the country
bet you did a lot to effect that high living standard, eh

I'm not bragging about my town at all. I don't live in Matinecock, I live in Bayside (Oakland Gardens to be precise). The town I grew up in is a nice mix of government projects, hispanic, black and Polish ghettos, middle class neighborhoods and ultra wealthy robber baron estates. It's got something for everyone.

Where I live is irrelevant to me. I happen to live in this town because the commute to school and my girlfriends job are both easy.

There's quite a vast amount of open public green directly opposite those buildings in addition to the other green areas on the map, I'd say. For the next point, more like several hundred surrounding acres of farmland Supremely boring to drive through.

My moms house is valued at something ridiculous like 700k. Tiny house on 1/8th of an acre. I don't get it.

Ok. It's 'wealthy' because the cost of living is insane. Not because everyone has a fucking mansion. These are middle class people living in an expensive area because they don't want to live in an apartment building. The acreage per house is small but it's a convenient place to commute from and it has the feel of the suburbs. It's not a gated community.

Ah, I forgot you can't comprehend reading when you get riled up. I was responding to this sentence in your post "it's cool i bet you all have several surrounding acres of land in your town-centre properties, too". Read a book

It's pointless John. England is the greatest country in the world. None shall ever rival it.

my reading comprehension? you changed the subject of your post without any indicator- it was following the clause before it and was not an independent clause... want to get grammatical? sure. no referentiality or indication at all = your post is torturously poorly worded.

Oh shit. Guess we fail then.

It's kind of an American thing that we all have a yard behind our homes...
