From the hostile media and constant leaks?  You don't think it has anything to do with the fact that Obama did pretty much everything except try to solve the high unemployment rate?  (i.e. Obamacare, Cap `n tax, Financial Reform bill - not a jobs maker, stimulus bills for government workers, etc...)

One thing he could do is extend the Bush tax cuts from 2001 and 2003 for everyone.  Raising taxes when we have nearly 10% unemployment is just asking for disaster.

And also realize that the Feds will start increasing interest rates, probably in Q2 or Q3 of next year.  It'll be a double wammy.

Oh and adding $3 trillion to the country's debt didn't help either.  All it did was prolong the recession.

They were RINOS, not real fiscal Conservatives.  There the `Blue-Dog` Democrats that would had helped reduced the spending, but they got strong armed and eventually caved.

And that's where I think parents should have school choice.  Right now the quality of your neighborhood is probably directly proportional to the quality of the school.

And when kids become disruptive and are nondisciplinary they get booted from their school and have to find another one to go to.

Yes... people shouldn't be rewarded for doing their homework and moving into a good school district... They should be forced to spend their property tax dollars to educate children whose parents aren't paying into the system...

If school choice becomes law, I will found a town without a school system and without property taxes. I'll invite parents to move to my town to save on taxes while getting a free education off of other peoples backs. Sounds like a grand plan.

Not one of your (I mean the Republicans) best thought out positions...

I see your point, but in reality you need a choice where your kids can go to school.  Yes town with poor schools will have less students as their residents go to schools outside the city, but then the poor school can work on improving.

Its often the younger teachers that don't have tenure that work at these schools.  Perhaps with fewer students they can forcus on improving them?

I don't think this is a Republican or Democrat issue about school choice.  Believe it or not I think Democrats want their children taught well and succeed too.

You DO have a choice Harmor. You want your kids to have a badass education in a good school district? Move to that town and pay the requisite property taxes.

Gee, your right G@lt. You do write so much better than I do.   If I had been borne with Down syndrome I mean.

Funny that the parentheses didn't make me lose your intended train of thought. But I never snacked on paint chips either.

My ilk? What are you babbling about? I absolutely think that people should get what they pay for.

You seem to be under the mistaken impression that anyone that disagrees with you or Republicans in general is a liberal. There are more than two parties and two ideologies you know...

Its hard not to label you a Liberal when your ideologies in many subjects seem to mirror them.  If you are not then I take it back, sorry.

America is not Red team vs Blue team. I happen to be on the Yellow team.

Sure, I'm a hardcore liberal socially, but I'm also a hardcore fiscal conservative. Neither party is close to where I sit. In fact, the Democratic Party is my ideological opposite.

So label me all you want, and if you really want to be accurate, 'Classical Liberal' would be the term that closest defines me.

So then you and I would agree on Chris Cristie handling of the New Jersey budget?  He's a fiscal conservative.

Also many of us Tea Partiers are fiscal conservatives.  Do you identify with us?

Ignore the dogmaticalness of social issues for a moment, I think we're closer idiotically than you think.
