So here is the outside of my house. The bit you can see on the left which looks like a huge stone block is my swimming pool room which is currently under construction, glass roof, glass pool
The main middle bit is my house/mine. Main room is on the top floor, big glass floor to see through to the mine below, its a fairly big time mine!

So for anyone who is a perfectionist like me I did a simple equation for angled walls...
y = [(√2x²) / (√2)]

For underwater, my method is far easier.
If you just dig you would have to first cover all the water sources with dirt, then dig it all away, by setting wood on fire all you have to do is cover it and it will remove itself via trial by fire...bennisboy wrote:

Wood never gets destroyed if there are no bricks in a 1 block radius that can be set on fire, fyi. You'll have to cut it down.

FYI: Weat only needs a water source 4 blocks away to grow... e.g. you can have 4 rows of weat before you need a water row
