Im extremely poor (read: cheap) and so I just use the free Classic version. This is a staircase I made that leads to a bridge which you can't see.

You do realise that grass only grows if one of the 8 blocks around it also has grass on it? So you'd need a block to have grass on it inside your castle before any other grass can grow.

If you just have the login.txt file in your %appdata/roaming/.minecraft You can log in without logging in (Play offline)
