Ive been messing around in the Aether since yesterday night and i can honestly say that this is the first thing that really got me excited about mc again since the update that made mp function properly (all updates after that were very meaningless to me).
It truly is a whole new world in mc. All the new blocks, equipment and other items are really cool. Havent been able to get a moa yet. Ive only seen one blue moa and it didnt drop an egg.
I have flown on a pig though. Good times.

I rarely adventure. Usually my 'base' is made within 2 minutes of walking.
Started up 1.7 the other day. Changes are nice. Have yet to make something with a piston though.
Is that aether a mod?

It'll ignore you unless you directly look at it (with your crosshair).
It'll look at you as long as you directly look at it (with your crosshair).
It'll hunt you down very fast as soon as you stop directly looking at it (with your crosshair).
They seem like the kind of mob that will just tear your house apart and disturb you whilst doing your beauty sleep

idk, i thought hero brine was meant to be some kind of scared, over intellectual being that could construct things as well as a human, and only is ever seen on the edge of your distance.
These mobs, although originally intended to be far away, show no intelligence, and simply move shit around, and then run at you if you look at them (and subsequently look away)

If these critters really tear apart the landscape, I don't much care for it. Water has a hard enough time leveling out as it is, and if they rip apart the coasts, it's going to be fugly.
