I cant wait to see his character develop onscreen.  So excited for next week.  I hope they stay with Morgan and his son, in the comic they didnt spend as much time with them.  But there is a side story book about what happens with those two out somewhere..

I think you'll enjoy the pilot Kim.

Yeah, Kirkman takes alot of inspiration from 28 series as but its mostly Romero-esque.

According to what I've read, the first comic book came out a month before 28 days later was released. So essentially, they didn't even take inspiration from it.

Rick is very humanized and realistic. I like it. When he dropped his guns in the pile of zombies, you don't see him go spray and pray among the zombies with his revolver and run back to the tank.. he realized he'd be dinner if he did.

He's a very likable character.

for a nanosecond I thought "oh shit, is this going to be one of those series where we follow a different guy in every ep?" But then he saw the light and crawled in.

For some stuff it works. I read Watchmen before I saw it and it made me to appreciate the movie even more (mostly because I prefer the movie's ending to the book's).

Loved the second episode!  I was engrossed the whole hour!  some little things i didnt care for, like missing scenes from the next episode...

Spoiler (highlight to read):
what are the odds that the guy drops the key down that drain on the roof? And why didn't he give him the hacksaw?  It seemed like he was actually trying to help that racist dude....I guess it's a "heat of the moment" thing, even though he did lock the door

EDIT: Spoiler (highlight to read):
also i somehow forgot rick's wife was with his old partner..so i was like WTF in the opening scene and when she took off the necklace with the ring.  I wanna know how rick ended up in the hospital by himself...

It's been awhile since I read the comics, but was any of the stuff in the second episode in there? Other than Glenn I don't remember any of the characters in the city, or the events that take place...

Spoiler (highlight to read):
other than the part about using the smell to get past zombies and then the rain washing it off, but in the comic that's used in a completely different scene.

Then how did they get out of the city in the comic? /not spoiler worthy since I'm talking about the comic.
