OMG! Nobody would grab a neighbors sword when there were zombiez trying to eat them! Lol black women don't use swords! I can't get asian sex, even when I try to pay for it! So I will poorly attempt to trolololololo a forum threat about a tv show adapted from a comic book!

Since everybody is infected, the bites are only an infection that kills you. The bites don't infect you with the Z virus, just something really nasty most antibiotics can't fight. So any way a person dies that isn't from head trauma will make them come back as a walker.

Great third season premiere!

Hershell's amputation was crazy! You can tell they've been through a lot of shit when they don't even hesitate to just hack away at his shin like that! Pretty disappointed in their lack of properly checking each room before moving on in the prison blocks. They got cut off because of it. I was looking forward to some spartan action. They should have gotten more riot shields, formed a line and done a 300 scene. Those tight corridors were perfect for that! Anywho I could armchair general my way to victory verbally here all night but I'll shut up about that fail.

They seriously need to clean the place up. They'll need to get some food, water, medicine, etc. Right now the place is a dump. Apparently there's some good stuff there because all those prisoners stil survived.

No freaking way Rick doesn't have his revolver. That was his trademark along with his hat that Carl now wears. Please don't tell me he got rid of it. I understand the convenience of the silenced semi-auto but seriously he's gotta be holding onto that revolver!!!!

Only 1 episode in, but so far I like the direction they're taking with this season. The first thing one noticed is the obvious increase in action as opposed to the very mild previous season. The personal drama was kept to a low, but considering that they only uttered roughly 5 lines throughout the entire episode you can't really tell if they're going to fuck up the writing like they did in se2; but let's face facts, we don't watch this for the dialogue and given that this ep contained ample zombie killing, it's looking to be a good season.
I love the more unrealistic and comicy approach they've taken so far by giving them the makeshift suppresses and the melee fight with the armored zombies, and of course there's the whole Michonne situation: Chained and jawless zombies acting as a repellent and a katana. Doesnt get any more absurd (in a good way) than that.
The open ending (as per usual) actually has me waiting for the next ep, unlike season 2's endings.

Girlfriend and I both really enjoyed the first episode - both of us had to put down our slices of cake when Rick took the hatchet to Hershel's leg, though. That was a bit... gruesome. It's different when it's happening to a human.

I thought that was a brilliant effect, to be honest - kudos to those that had the idea and implemented it.

I'm still not entirely sure why the Governor killed those soldiers. Certainly he could have gotten them to pledge allegiance to him? I have a theory that something else is much darker and deeper than his head collection...
