Pretty much every semi decent P55/X58 board will let you use ram dividers that let you use upto 2000mhz rams without touching BCLK at all.

XMP profile is not overclocking, it is setting the ram to its stock timings and volts. Depending on motherboard, it doesn't even change the voltages and frequenzy.Aries_37 wrote:
Yeah but xmp should change timing and voltages too, I believe it overvolts a bit but it's basically easy overclocking for people who don't want to fiddle with individual settings.
