Everytime someone in here mentions an audi, i get the feeling they're 16year old kids who don't know shit about cars and like audi just because everyone else does too. not saying the cars are crap tho.

I'm not really into Audi. Compared to BMW or Mercedes they really don't 'do it' for me.

Interestingly car and driver compared the older E92 M3 to some new Audi, and the New Cadillac CTS. The older BMW beat both of them.

If and when I have enough money I want to get rid of the M3 I have and get a new Z4. I'm glad I got it over the 3000GT.
my uncle ended a long history of buying high-end mercs and bmw's with an Audi A8... really nice car.
in england the teen-fascination is with bmw's, decidedly not audis. they're more of the mature-businessman drive.
also, personally, i think audi's design is infinitely more gorgeous than golf-club mercs or standard motorway-fodder bmw's.

my friend still insists on driving a 1.6 turbo Pug 306 (a fuckin' diesel), which was the biggest motor that any insurance company would cover him for as a first-time driver. in year one he paid something like £1800 for the year in insurance, which was a LOT more than the car itself was worth. about 3 years down the line and it hasn't got any cheaper... he clipped a motorcyclist that pulled out of a blind-junction at like 10mph. no injury, no substantial damage... but a ruined no claims record. guy could be driving a bmw himself if he jacked in the ridiculous insurance policy.

for the BMW vs Audi thing, the S5 is a beautiful car, as is the RS6, RS4, etc. but they aren't as fun as an E92 M3. Well the RS6 may be but I've never driven one, and it does have a V10...
