I think he forgot the fact that the first amendment deals a lot with freedom of religion. it's funny how most right wing nut jobs yells shit about the constitution without knowing anything about it.jord wrote:

It's not a victory flag, I have no idea how anyone can assume so without massive bias and a serverely closed mind.

The constitution has no bearing on any of my arguments, using reason and logic seem to suffice for me. If people are going to quote the holy unquestionable gospel it is amusing if they do get it wrong.Cybargs wrote:

Well I'm talking more about the lawfulness on what goes on. The Constitution is more of a document telling what the government can or can't do than anything else.jord wrote:

The second part of Cybarg's post makes an telling point though. Pro-constitution only when it suits.jord wrote:

The paradox is only a conflict between reality and your feeling what reality ought to be.

Many people Including many muslims think it Is a " Victory Flag " and for better or worse, Therine lies the oppositions motivation.Cybargs wrote:

Perhaps they believe it to be so because muslim armies in past history have a tendency to erect mosques on the sites of their victories, So it seems like a logical conclusion to arrive at. You should brush up on the subject before you condem anyone who differs in opinion as " massive in bias and a serverely closed mind.. ". A smattering of research would have revealed this. So maybe accept their point of view even if you disagree with it. You have no Idea what my point of view is by the way so I will tell you. I believe now it should be erected. ( you should also know that threats of violence have been made should it -be- moved ) I would have been happier if something else was there but it Shows our Tolerance and the Checks and Balances built into our system of Government. They couldn't begin to imagine any type of reciprocal event.
( should they ever use their minds in that fashion ) Will it Change their minds and make them like us ? Maybe a few will realize they have been sold a line of shit by people who could care less about them. I certainly know the feeling.
Cybargs I wouldn't call people names in the Anonymous safety of the Internet. ( draw your own conclusions )
Further - Yes the Constitution covers Religious freedom I had hoped that was obvious. Sorry if you got caught off guard.
My point was the " First Amendment " does not give you Carte Blache to create mayhem.
The Art Student who left Bags Simply labeled " FEAR " in NYC Subways found this out.
