Recent posts at the bottom of index. If I see a post that tickles my fancy I'm on it regardless of section.

i browse by section seeing as i dont frequent the forums as much as other members so i can look through that section and see whats happened over the past few days. once i've caught up with the drama i then browse via live and new posts.

This is the most reasonable way to do it, generally for me I just open EE and Movies, Music, Pictures. With occasional visits to DST and Music.
