okay, so i finally reinstalled bf2 on my new rig, which has a much better vid card. i noticed something on ghost town a few nights ago and wondered if i've been missing out all these years..

am i really supposed to be able to see the guy on the tow launcher from where i am standing? or is this just some graphics glitch that i am capitalizing on? it was great, no more annoying tow missle campers taking down the heli i can only see the person when they are on the tow missle, though, as soon as they jump off i can't see them anymore. that's what makes me think it's a glitch

I'm fairly sure that I have been picked off several times by sniper fire seemingly out of nowhere when I was on that TOW missile.
This could explain it.

they keep warning me for camping the flags with the helis. which is complete bullshit since all they do is stalk the stinger sites. of course i'm going to preemptively strike the AA. i can never get a fair deal in this game

What do you expect? You preemptively strike the AAs and you preemptively strike your own teammates Although I do believe friendly fire is off on that server

Yup. Sounds like a training wheels server to me.

you wouldn't believe what i had to go through to prove i wasn't hacking. when i fly solo, i usually go squad leader and then put the attack marker on the aa from across the map... which i then follow up with a tv missile. this one admin was insisting i was using an aimbot for it, which sucks since most of their members are cool dudes who don't give a shit and play. but of course i come across that one guy who just can't believe people are at a higher level. i guess it's the plague of all online games.

LOL. Did you learn this from T0m or did he learn this from you? Mass Destruction has to be the worst. The Rebels have no chance to get their chopper up if the Spetz know what they are doing.

actually, me and evildead perfected this strategy on iron gator. we would get the commander to spot the tunguska on the island, i would drop the attack marker, and he would finish it off with a tv. it seems alot of the better players use this tactic, it's pretty much the only way to roll on those foggy maps.
