Clearly you're the only one thinking that here. DA was fantastic.

Haha, never noticed that.
Is it just me as well, or does the 'refugee' look a little bit like a younger Duncan?

I found it interesting when I saw it was made by the same people as Mass Effect... Then I played it and discovered the gameplay is some of the most horrible point & click mechanics I've ever tried...

Played the first mission and uninstalled, never looked back...

Probably quit Baldurs Gate on the first mission too and missed out on 2 of the best RPGs ever made.

I am not saying DA is as good as BG/BGII but it definitely isnt bad.

Its fine to dislike isometric part RPG's but it doesnt mean the games are not good.

I'm sorry if I expect too much from my games... like feeling entertained and that the game feels like more than a flash game...

sorry but that justification is BS.  if you pay for a ticket to a sports game and the game sucks you dont get your money back.  you are a thief.

That's your problem FloppY_, you don't get ANYTHING!

The combat in Dragon Age might have looked like point and click to you, but to anyone and everyone else it looked like a game that required strategy and shit. You wrote it off before you progressed to the point where you would actually have to think about what you were doing, however that's probably for the better in your case.

In all seriousness though floppy, you should not be stating your opinion on ANYTHING games related, as you are always wrong. Now before you say "how can an opinion be wrong?" yours is wrong because it is always so misinformed and poorly thought through. You are incapable of thinking and as such your opinion will always be wrong even if the same statement was correct coming from anyone else.

The story was piss weak and lacked any kind of flow.
The party system sucked.
The camera was more frustrating then genital warts.
Combat was based more on luck then skills, weapons or tactics.
Warriors just sucked.
The skills and talent systems were just plain annoying.
Attributes meant next to nothing.
Auto repositioning of my characters after a conversation cost me more deaths then I care to remember for what should have been a relatively simple fight.
I wasn't able to have a threesome with Morrigan and Leliana.

It was "ok" at best and being hyped as the "spiritual sequel of the Baldur's Gate series" it fell far short.

***UPDATE***

Concept art

Creatures

Hurlock
https://dragonage.bioware.com/resources/dragonage-ii/assets/gallery/concepts/hurlock-01-p.jpg

Taller than their genlock cousins, the hurlocks are roughly of human-size but are possessed of considerable strength and constitution. During a Blight they will often be found on the surface in large numbers, each equipped with crude armor that is often assumed to have been scavenged, though there is some evidence to suggest they also build and repair their own weapons. The darkspawn are a living plague, and the black ichor that leaks out of a hurlock's eyes onto it's pale face makes this fact plainly apparent.

Emissary
https://dragonage.bioware.com/resources/dragonage-ii/assets/gallery/concepts/emissary-01-p.jpg

The most intelligent of the Darkspawn become gifted sorcerers, with many abilities akin to blood magic. These are called 'emissaries' because of their rumored ability to speak, though they negotiate no more than others of their kind. They are usually seen on the surface only during a Blight, but any who venture far enough into the Deep Roads will encounter them at any time... and will regret doing so.

Characters

Isabela
https://dragonage.bioware.com/resources/dragonage-ii/assets/gallery/screenshots/screenshot-01-isabela-p.jpg
"I win because I cheat, Kitten. I thought that was obvious."

Isabela is the pirate scourge of two coastlines, four nations, and countless tavern floors. She's equally skilled with dagger and insult, and it's hard to know which cuts deeper. It's rare to see her in one place for long, but with her ship reduced to timbers, Isabela's had to content herself with whatever bounty Kirkwall has to offer. And that means no end of headaches for the rich and foolish, and no end of amusement for her. She's as desired as she is feared, which is to say, a lot and often. Fall on her blade, or at her feet

That's really something they need to fix.  No overhead meter to show injury levels?   You actually have to look at the profile.   Or I just don't see it?

They're right next to the XP meter with all the other buffs/debuffs

They released the demo yesterday. You can download it on Steam or at http://dragonage.bioware.com/da2/demo

If you complete the demo you will unlock Haydor's Razor, an Ancient Dwarven Blade which increases health, mana, and combat abilities in the full game.

Also if the demo gets downloaded 1 million times before March 1st (to get your download counted you have to log in to your EA account while playing the demo) they will unlock two books:
  • Lothering's Lament - Gives money when read
  • The Far Cliffs Of Kirkwell - Gives XP boost when read

The demo went on FOREVER, but with no ability to save. I quit before I found the end of it. Not because I didn't like it, but because I now actually want to play Dragon Age 1 first.

Did they get rid of those stupid ass injuries thing? I hated having to find injury kits, to heal myself since heal spells don't seem to fix bones or leaves you with bloody eyes.

I didn't have to do anything but wait until after a battle for auto-revives or force my one mage to heal people. But the injuries thing you mention kinda makes me want to play through DA1 even more now.
