I have a crossover cable and was wondering if it would still work as a regular ethernet cable.

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Personally, I don't like using crossover cables for regular. Just buy a regular cat-6, they are dirt cheap.

Alright, thanks for the replies. I'll try my crossover cable and if it doesn't work then I'll just go buy a regular ethernet cable.

Real question:

What is the point in buying something if you already have a cable that does the exact same thing?
