If the black guy was racially profiled at work he should had sued...but instead he kills 8 white people and the media blames the white people?

Am I missing something here?

Oh please. Mass media always picks up and runs with any possibly contentious circumstance related to a reported crime, be it xenophobia, ageism, sexism or racism. The act of murder was relegated to the back seat in favour of circumstances long ago.

First, I would like to see how this guy was soooooooooo racially profiled.

There are plenty of parents out their that think their piece of shit kids are darling little angels.

I am weary of anyone or any POV that talks about a mass murderer as the one who DIDN'T have the problem.

"'I know what pushed him over the edge was all the racial stuff that was happening at work,' said his girlfriend, Kristi Hannah.

"'He always felt like he was being discriminated (against) because he was black,' said Jessica Anne Brocuglio, his former girlfriend. 'Basically they wouldn't give him pay raises. He never felt like they accepted him as a hard working person.'

"'Thornton changed jobs a few times because he was not getting raises, Brocuglio said."
I can guess what it was. The effort he put in and the quality of his work wasn't up to par. He probably even mistook professional criticism as being 'bullied.'

Modern businesses generally run more on meritocracy than racism, but every time something like this happens, the stereotype against black employees grows. There are small businesses who would rather shut down and restart under a different name than fire a black man because of all the legal trouble it would generate.

Of course, Thornton was fired for stealing beer, and there was video proof of him doing so. [...]
There you go.

State worker minorities are also in that "don't fire" zone.

Why is it that this country feels the need to cut "The Black Man" more slack than everyone else. Isn't it time that everyone takes accountability for their own actions regardless of race? This is pure BS! I don't care if you're black, white, yellow, ect....... This is not a race issue. This is hyped BS!

I remember having an argument with a black friend of mine when I was a high school senior about admission policies to colleges.  I couldn't afford to go to a 4-year college (even with a 3.8 / 4.0 GPA), so I was planning on going to community college.

He believed that it was his right to get access into college based solely because he was black.

I asked him if the roles were reversed and you saw me on campus how would that make you feel?  He never answered.

Nowadays when I see a black professional in the workplace I have to second-guess myself to think if this person is no fully qualified for their job.  And what's sad is that this professional is illegitimately stigmatized in most cases.

Do you want the engineer who designed the plane you and your family are flying in to be the best engineer the company could hire or the engineer that filled some racial quota?  Enjoy your peanuts.

And why can't we judge a person by their character instead of by the color of their skin?

I think mass media are now digging through every little piece of background story, because the murderer has killed himself, which reduces the chance to get an exclusive interview to zero.
And I guess the obligatory "he was playing Counter-Strike" and "listening to Marilyn Manson" didn't work here either.

Anyways, my condolences to the victims' families and friends.
