Then you might like this.

It's called Dubstyle. For anyone that knows what hardstyle and dubstep are, its basically a mash up between the two.

Its a very new style of music and only a few artist have started to produce it. However it is starting to grow more and more and I think it will be very popular within the electronic dance scene within years or even months to come.

I guess I can kind of see the resemblance to dubstep in some of those tracks, but meh. I'm not a fan*, not a good direction for dubstep to go towards in my opinion (though it isn't going that way, anyhow). I doubt your speculations of forthcoming popularity.

*Though I do very much like plenty of dubstep.

Seems a lot more hardstyle than dubstep.
I've always had a bit of a soft spot for a bit of hardstyle, but the vocals in it always piss me off. Can't see it being huge, might make an entrance into a few clubs though.

by the way NOTHING pisses me off more nowadays than all you 'coolkids', completely or at least relatively new to electronic music, calling anything with a bassline 'dubstep'. THERE IS NOT A SINGLE DUBSTEP DRUM-RHYTHM, BPM/RPM, DRUM-SAMPLE, MUSICAL CHARACTERISTIC OR PROPERTY WHATSOEVER in ANY of those songs. having a hard-bassline does not magically make things DUBSTEP. dubstep is a very precise musical term for a genre that has, admittedly, come into mainstream popularity and gained wider public recognition recently.
