Hey guys - I'm working on a job search website with a very unique way of getting people jobs (I'll tell you guys more on launch in a few months), and was wondering if you could give me a bit of feedback.

It revolves around an auction mechanism, so we decided to name it "biddlr". Here's a link.

edit: Colors are not final - I'm thinking the current orange is a bit too red.

I hate how it looks like he is hunchbacked and tilted.

Make him symetrical.

I've thought about a real person, but I think I'll be adding a picture of a real person (stock photo or whatnot) to the design. We were joking about the posture when we designed it, talking about how we as freelancers never actually see the light of day. The point with this design, though, was that when you're raising one arm, you generally lean in the other direction. I have to say that I'm not always a fan of symmetry - going against it kind of throws you off.

Anyway, the reason I don't want a real person is because I want it to be in sync with the super simple design principle we're going for. Something like an Apple approach to web design - something like Twitter, in terms of simplicity (but more usable and tailored to our specific market).

Love the ninja turtle, btw.

PS: The logo is cluttered? Or the website? =P Because there will be a website, we're just working on that now.

It reminds me of a depressed man with bad posture. Maybe change that dark grey to something other, and test different colour choices for that orange. At the moment that orange looks "dirty", though it might be because of that grey.

Those were only temporary colors - I may still have a grey, but probably not that one, and the orange is way too red atm, which gives it that darker, dirty look. Looking into kuler.

I agree. I like the bit in the top left, perhaps try to infer a tie in that group of things. Perhaps even use the tie as the base shape of the logo and build around it.

its simple, easy on the eyes, it have rememberence to it, easy to print on business cards

I would say to reduce the size of the avatar person to a smaller size. To make sure your text stands out more.
