I drive a 2003 Ford Fairmont Ghia, 4.0L Straight 6. It varies, but from the tests i've done it's been as high as 2L/100km decrease but often not quite that much. (Probably partly because I drive like a P-Plater)
I've noticed similar decreases in my parents Falcon, and also in their Toyota ZR6 (3.5L V6). Some of my mates however say they've noticed basically no difference (in their Corollas and Lancers etc)
So at my local servo's it's usually only ~2c more for Regular 95 over E10 so in the end I find it works out better to just go for regular in my particular case and I'm sure my car engine isn't complaining
The Shell's don't even stock E10 anymore, and they're pricing their Regular very close to BP's E10.

ah right. Many servos around here only have e10 91 octane, where the next level up is 95 and usually a jump in 10 cents per litre and due to the fact that I'm driving a Getz, the effects are somewhat lessened.
Though the BP near me shut down within the last few days, and they only had e10, 95 and 98 octane.
