how so
Well first I had to get a licence, which involved getting some paperwork, filling it out, waiting a few months. Picking out a marker, hopper and air system. Fill out a permission to acquire slip from the firearms register, wait for it to get approved, buy the marker, get it sent to a local gunshop. Pick it up from the gunshop. Find out my local field only fills co2, no air, so now I have to find a way to refill my HPA tanks. Consider air compressor at work, realise it isn't powerful enough to do the job (tanks hold anywhere from 3000 - 4500psi, compressors will hold a couple hundred tops) Cheapest way I find is using scuba tanks, but I don't live near the coast. Get mother living at the coast to look into scuba tanks and scuba fill stations, and bring one up when she visits at christmas.
All this before I can even use the fucking thing.

I can't us co2. If I could I'd get it filled at the field, but co2 will destroy the solenoid in my gun :CRTHKI wrote:

HPA ftw. If the field owner is smart, he'd invest in HPA refilling... much much cheaper than CO2 (you gotta store that bitch in a freezer lol).
I know its shit, which is why I went HPACybargs wrote:

Thats a rediculous price though, I didn't do much of a search, and you can calculate how many pumps will be required - probably a lot.
Your options are:
Do the whole fill with the stirrup pump
Find a lower pressure air supply to do most of the fill - top it off with the pump.
Get a compressor
Get a scuba cylinder - not aluminium - and get it filled occasionally. They need to be inspected/written off at certain intervals.
Find a friendly person with a cylinder and/or filling facilities, your local fire station might have some ideas.
Trade in your gun for a C02 version.
For target air guns CO2 is normally harder to find than air and getting harder.
Might be worth sticking with air in this case - just depends on what is available to you now and in the future.
Also - Bear in mind a compressed air cylinder for a paintball gun contains as much stored energy as a stick of dynamite - do not mess around with it, practice juggling with it and so on.
