What about the ocean floor? There is land under the ocean, therefore we are connected in that way.
seeing as land is defined as the earth's surface ABOVE water, no, there is no 'land' below water. the earth's crust is beneath the water, sure, but that is not LAND by the semantic definition. god made it really easy when he made the world and divided the mass of crust into mostly basalt and granite. the granite is the continental shelfs and the basalt is the sea floor. easy peasy!
