The ass is from work, im a 4th year app mechanic but ive been working in the office for a few months serving customers
the pants ive had on for the last 2 days have been too small for me and i have a chronic sweating problem for some reason (always been like it for some reason). Im guessing this is why its happend
xmas played 13 holes of golf with my dad that was fun but thats all i really did apart from the beach for xmas and new years, mainly spent it with the gf
also in the process of getting a loan and a new car
currently have a 02 Forester gx
I want an 01 or 02 Forester GT (Turbo)
but ive only been able to find 00 GT for a reasonable price
00GT is the same shape but has the old style engine

Aren't the turbos extra maintenance and a ton of problems?
I didn't think Subarus lasted well enough for a ten year old one to make any sense.

I dont know of a complete brand that has less problems with EVERY MODEL!
seriously. I work for VW, but have filled in at subaru for 2 weeks, and I got bored because there was nothing to fix
With regular maintenance, you will more or less have no problems. Unless you thrash the absolute fuck out of it.
I find the turbos easier to work on than the non turbos, but this maybe because I havent worked on as many
My car has 267,000kms on it, having its 9th birthday in feb, I litteraly have not had 1 problem with it. The battery is starting to die but what do you expect. Ive had it since Oct 27 2007, and not had to do 1 thing to it.
I also know a guy in Vic who had 550,000 on his but I think he may have sold it or crashed it (havent spoken to him in a while)

Sorry if I sounded a bit offensive then, Im just saying what Ive experienced and learnt at tafe/work, and also from owning one and being involved in a few subaru clubs
Subaru did have a bad reputation and were generally junky pre-90's but I have no experience with that.
With turbochargers, if you warm up the car and warm down the car properly you should have no problems, but as always, if you thrash it, the life of it will deteriorate quicker. I don't believe over 150,000kms means anything.
