This is me playing Hurling, a national Irish Gaelic sport. It's similar to Lacrosse mixed with Rugby and Tennis I suppose. It's an amazing game that's very physically and mentally demanding. For those who haven't seen it played here's a quick YT video that explains pretty much everything about the game for those that are interested...
The pride involved in the game is unmatched anywhere else in the world. Although the game is not played 'professionally' the players that play at the highest level put in hours of work daily at training and in the gym and expect nothing in return but support and the knowledge that the man beside him is the best. These players are your teachers, your policemen, your doctors, and your friends. Every small town has 1 or more players that play at the highest level, my best mate, Craig, plays for the Dublin U21 team.
