I sure ain't gonna download anything until there is an official announcement of the patch being released on EA's website. But that should be quite soon. THeir website being down is the best indication...
its not down anymore schuss, and they havent updated anything. lol, i think it was down because of so many ppl waiting to see an announcement about it. can i repatch the game when the official one comes out? coz i already pathced it unnoficially and i dont want to muck up everything.
It is quite likely that this patch is the official version and EA/DICE have a security hole among their employees or beta testers or whom ever. Yet seeing IndianScout confessing in public that he is already using it would be reason enough for me to do it also. Because, in the end, we can still all run around in circles and point at each other

Everyone talking about the AA. Speaking from a decent jet pilot, at first I thought it was a joke, it was almost too good... nothing you can do will break it off.. and if you do manage to fake it out, somehow it comes back as soon as you straighten out the tiniest bit. I was pissed. I thought it unbalanced it THE OPPOSITE WAY. Which indeed it may be a BIT too much. BUT. I have ALMOST beaten it. I went 26 - 0 on Oman with everybody and their brother on AA. I just figured out a way to get away from it
I may get hit once or twice, but nothing that can't be repaired. No big deal.
Oh yeah, the AA missles are weaker, takes three to take out jets.
Air to Air is no contest. though I have not gotten shot out of the sky by another jet yet, I've shot plenty out of the sky. I use to only use my cannon for air combat, but now I jsut use missles... I mean it's so easy and so quick, it's that much more time you have to go bomb something. there won't be anymore dogfights

there a couple servers alrdy patched
As a polot and my friend sending me a vid of him flying with the new patch THE AA IS NOW THE SUCK, he cant get any were with out it being locked on, and when he drops flares they fire. They should have a missle incomeing sign so you KNOW when it is coming, just like in real life.

Airborne916, Sorry, but your friend must be THESUCK. It's kind of simply to look behind you and see a missle incoming and THEN throw flares. Stingers aren't any threat. I can take them out very quickly. The Essex is another story.(especially when two are unloading)

Sorry, a little stereotyping there. But there were only two kinds of pilots. Rapers, and dogfighters. Dfers were in it for skill and the joy of dogfighting. and rapers which were there just to piss people off and see how many times you could get kicked.
