There's an elementary school in Massachusetts that is giving condoms to its students. For those who don't know, elementary school is generally first through fourth grade.

I think what's fucked up is not the giving of condoms but the fact that there must be sex going on (I can't imagine why they'd be giving out condoms without that happening). I mean these kids don't even have facial or pubic hair yet. What the hell are their parents doing? The last thing on my mind in elementary school was sex. Hell even for most of middle school it wasn't THAT much of a present thought (as soon as I saw the high school seniors my first day of high school that all changed )

The school in question is an elementary school with K-6. Asking about hitting puberty in highschool is irrelevant. I guess I shouldn't have quoted you?

I was asking because he said he hadn't had any thoughts of sex until high school. On my first day of highschool I was well versed in the subject. Again, almost thirty years ago. I know kids have come a long way since then. I would be willing to bet the the percentage of kids that had sex in my class, would be comparable to the percentage of kids that now do it in middle school.

This wouldn't be an issue though if parents actually, parented their children. I guess that's hard to do when both parents work and the kid is in day care with all the hot 12 year olds.

I think the biggest issue is unsafe sex at the moment though, especially considering the amount of people with AIDs in this world.
