they do know HP2 wasn't a PS2 exclusive right?

New video:
MFW this is the first NFS since Underground 2 to feature Oversteering...
I'm still downloading this before buying it though...
They have a HUGE leap to make in quality from the old pieces of trash

That's the problem, the titles after carbon have tried going sim...jaymz9350 wrote:
I'll definitely get this. I've personally been a fan of the series since I spent hours upon hours playing the original on my 486. Yeah some of them weren't good but to me the majority were very enjoyable (before people bitch about the handling/physics, NFS is an arcade series not a sim series)
I just hope it's not too burnout-esque now
Oh snap!

I´m tempted to pre-order it. Looks really good so far.
I think the biggest problem with some of the past NFS games was the lack of cars. The mountain of parts to put on your cars was nice but you can only do so many things to the few cars they had.

Nah, there were plenty of cars. It was a simple lack of quality that made the last NfS titles shit.Blade4509 wrote:

I´m excited about being able to play cop with your friends and hunt down other dudes online. That oughtta be real good fun!
Except that high pings will no doubt ruin it... I have never seen an online racing game with good collision coding for online races x_XSisco wrote:

Tbh NFS:Shift playing head to head with a friend was very smooth ... no rubberbanding, etc
That really might be a problem. Never got into online racing games much before, mostly played lan if anything. If NfS World is any hint towards netcode, were fucked. MW was pretty tight though.
Pre-ordered it!

Nah, fuck it. My best rl friend and main gaming buddy really enjoy NfS World atm, despite the fucken lag and lack of content. So we decided yesterday to get it no matter what. 1,5l of beer might have swayed the decision. Anyways, it´s just 37€ so fuck it.AussieReaper wrote:

It´s gonna rock! Trailer looked nice, despite me having no sound at work.
I´m still a bit worried about possible lag though, but I played some Burnout with Miggle and Alex without lag issues, and he´s half-way around the planet from where I am. I think Criterion gets on top of this.

The demo will only be for the 360 and PS3
It will last two weeks from tomorrow.
I was hoping it would be on PC too, so I could decide which version to get.

omahgawd. Demo must get
Once again, we PC players that BUILT the NFS series are ignored in favor of all the elementary kids playing console. Not only that, we won't get a demo at ALL to test out the game. No, instead we must go buy a game we couldn't test and are not allowed to return if it's not what we expected. Developers have gotten lazy developing games for consoles and refuse to do the work necessary to create the best game possible for PC which is a much higher quality platform. Don't expect the PC community to shrug this off. My $60 is staying in my pocket ... waiting for TDU2.

That just means we will have to download and "try" it from less official sourcesStingray24 wrote:
