let's play gs. I have it loaded right now.
I wish I could switch between the two without having to reset my loadout every fucking time. Sometimes this game bugs the shit out of me.

The Hueys are completely useless. They have no armor whatsoever, I've shot down a few with either the AK-47 or M16.
same. bc2 is buggy as hell dude.eleven bravo wrote:

Disagree. With a good squad in a Huey you can carve up the opposition. eg I've gotten 22 kills in a Huey without being shot down.henno13 wrote:

They could do with a bit more armour, but much more and they would unbalance the game imo.
The Hueys are slaughtering machines if both machine guns are manned and the pilot focuses on destroying tanks (and other vehicles with a HMG).
Its guns have almost an 180° angle to move, so two gunners can cover almost all angles from any direction the heli is facing at all time.
The lack of AA and tracer darts, the guns' damage and the very good handling also help a lot.

Agreed, Hueys are rape machines if properly crewed.globefish23 wrote:

I love fully packed hueys. So many kills when I shoot them down in a tank.
It's just too easy to take out choppers with tanks in vietnam. The tanks can shoot to the ceiling on flat ground and the turret speed of the tank has been increased dramatically. Tbh it really takes all the skill out of nailing choppers in tanks.

but no seriously tanks in BC2V have like a +70-80 degree elevation limit?
have you people heard about the PBR glitch or has it been console only/patched already?

the maps and weps look great
shame it's the same shitty bad company engine
movement and shooting just feels horrid, like i should be panning around with a controller stick and not a mouse+keyboard

Honestly I haven't noticed this as much with Vietnam as I did with BC2. But this could be because I got a new PC... so I'm not sure.Uzique wrote:

it's definitely the engine. i've played it on 3 PC's now. the movement/shooting system is just clearly tailored for a controller/analogue sticks.
definitely looks pretty though on a capable system

It was quite confusing the first time I played BFBC2.Uzique wrote:

When turning, it felt as if my eyes and hands were attached to a 1m pole, not in my head (i.e. the fulcrum of the rotation).
Nothing you can't get used to though.
Also, as with many other FPS games, the view bobbing is too much, because in real life, your neck and the weight of your head compensate for most movement of the body (just like a steady-cam). We're not birds FFS, who constantly have to nod their heads...
At least we can applaud them for using a new-ish engine, unlike COD who are still running the engine from COD4 (which itself is even older).
time to shoot at gooks

Yeah that PBR glitch has been around since the release of BC2. Originally it was done with the hummwv and cobra.
Just pile loads of explosives onto a friendly vehicle and blow it up while a teammate is inside. Engine loses its shit and you have a ghost vehicle.
The fact that it still exists makes me wonder if it's a fault in the engine that can't be patched or they just haven't needed to yet.
